It is easy to declare that we are “one with the ministry,” but to be truly one with the ministry is not merely a matter of our own declaration. It is a living, and this living can only be produced in us by our receiving of the divine revelations and experiences of the cross. May the Lord indeed gain many such New Testament ministers today!

From the Preface:

In this second volume, the author continues to unveil the type of person who can be useful for the Lord, adding many lessons from his observation of Brother Lee through the years. In our desire for the fulfillment of the Lord’s purpose, we should learn to care for our person, taking our brother as a good example. We are blessed to have the examples of both our dear brother and those who have learned closely of him.

Not until eternity will we be able to fully appreciate what we received in that wonderful moment, but the Bible does describe for us many of the blessings we now have as Christians. As those who are born again we need to seek to enter more fully into the experience of these blessings today. As stated in this book:

We must ask ourselves, do we have a subjective Christ? We know so many facts about Him, but is He real to us? We can talk about Him and appreciate Him, but do we experience Him in our daily life? To be born again is to have a genuine, subjective experience of Christ. But that should only be the beginning. We need to substantiate our born again experience day after day and year after year. We should enjoy the riches we received from our salvation throughout our entire life. The Lord saved us so that He could be subjective to us. What we received the moment we first opened our heart and believed in the Lord Jesus should become our continuous enjoyment. This is what the Lord desires, and this is why we were born again.

King David was a truly remarkable servant of the Lord, and yet he was just like us in many ways. On the one hand he truly cared about what God was after; God Himself declared him to be “a man after My own heart” (1 Sam. 13:14; Acts 13:22) even while he was still just a shepherd boy. On the other hand, David was often not clear about God’s purpose, and he also experienced many failures, sins, disappointments, and sufferings as he followed and served the Lord.

Through such a one, God was able to establish His kingdom, gain the city He desired, and prepare the way for the building up of the temple, His dwelling place on the earth. What a marvelous story, and what an encouragement to us in our own Christian life and serving today!

In this book brother Titus states:

“As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord” (Josh. 24:15). I have seen this declaration hanging on the wall in many homes. Many young people make this declaration even before they have a family. Those who have been married awhile have a little more realization and may declare, “As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord…somewhat.” The older we become, the more difficult it is to make Joshua’s declaration because we know what is involved. Yet it was not in his younger days that Joshua declared this but at the end of his life. He was not defeated as most find themselves at his age. Instead, backed by years of experience, Joshua was able to declare with assurance, “As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord!” Joshua understood how much was involved in this declaration. He had learned many difficult lessons while serving for forty years in the wilderness under Moses, then leading Israel into the good land.
Everyone likes to hear the stories about Joshua leading the armies of Israel into battle to conquer the good land, but few pay attention to the years of learning that prepared Joshua for this. However, if we wish to fight for the Lord as Joshua did and to declare with Joshua that we will serve the Lord, we need to pass through what Joshua passed through and learn the lessons that he learned.

Everyone likes to hear the stories about Joshua leading the armies of Israel into battle to conquer the good land, but few pay attention to the years of learning that prepared Joshua for this. However, if we wish to fight for the Lord as Joshua did and to declare with Joshua that we will serve the Lord, we need to pass through what Joshua passed through and learn the lessons that he learned.

In the beginning oneness had everything to do with God and His economy. Oneness existed in the Triune God and now has been enlarged through Christ into His mystical Body. The Lord prayed for the organic oneness in John 17. We see the fulfillment of this prayer in the early church life, manifested in the saints living in one accord in their prayer, continuing in the apostles. teaching and fellowship, and breaking bread from house to house with exultation and simplicity of heart.

This book is based upon messages given by Titus Chu in Montreal, Canada, to college students from around the Great Lakes in August 2003. To know about the divine stream and to speak of it is not adequate; we must consider before the Lord very soberly: am I in the reality of this divine stream in my daily experience?

This book considers how we may be in that reality, drawing practical lessons from how the divine stream is pictured in two different portions of the word. First, it looks at the divine stream in the very beginning, in the garden of Eden, and how it divided into four different branches (Gen. 2:10-14). Second, it considers the stream as it flowed out from the built-up dwelling place of God in Ezekiel 47.

At the beginning and end of the divine revelation God shows us a river. He further reveals throughout the Scriptures that He reaches and works with humanity as a divine flow. What does the Bible tell us about this stream of God? As those who desire to serve and know Him in His economy today, where and how can we experience this flowing God?

The messages in this book focus upon these two questions. They were given during a conference in January 2003 in Toledo, Ohio, to those serving the churches in the Great Lakes area. The spoken words bore witness of the divine stream to those present. What a wonderful blessing they became to those who heard! They are presented here in printed form to all who desire to know God in His operation today.

Those who love God long to be kept in the sphere of His blessing and operation and to see His work on the earth progress. It is with this longing in view that this book is presented to God’s children.
